Emeritus Professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), working in the Systems Engineering and Computer Science Program of the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering (COPPE), Mathematics Institute and Eletronic Computer Center. His research interests includes algorithms, data structures, graph theory and combinatorial optimization. He is a 1-A researcher of CNPq.
