In this paper we compare frameworks, models and standards concerning IT Governance (ITIL, CMMI, COBIT, MPS.BR and ISO 27000) aiming at unveil similarities and differences from the view point of Knowledge Management (KM). Also, we will present a conceptualization for KM Governance through the analysis of some case studies and frameworks found in the literature.
Next, an analysis will be presented of the State of Art in KM Governance and its level of maturity, considering the influence of the frameworks of IT on the definition of the frameworks of KM. Concluding the article we will consider the opportunities, difficulties and possible facilitators for future work in KM Governance.
