Claudio Dipolitto de Oliveira

Claudio Dipolitto is pursuing a Post-Doctorate at the Systems and Computing Engineering Program (PESC) of COPPE/UFRJ, with an emphasis on developing intelligent platforms based on the Socratic method. In this context, he serves as Innovation Leader on the Sokrates.AI project, a Socratic digital mentoring platform for education, funded by the National Education and Research Network (RNP) and developed under the coordination of Prof. Geraldo Xexéo, at the LINE - Unstructured Information Treatment Laboratory. He holds a Ph.D. focused on Innovation Management from the Production Engineering Program (PEP) at COPPE/UFRJ. He has developed his thesis on the Decision-Making Process of Technology Startup Founders, studying the interactions between strategic and technological decisions in innovative contexts. Dipolitto was accredited as an adjunct instructor by the Lean Startup Program by UC Berkeley and COPPEAD/UFRJ. He dedicates himself to researching methodologies for creating purpose-driven impact businesses. His notable contributions include developing the HoPE Canvas — a visual tool integrating purpose and sustainable business models; the WEkigai, a methodology aimed at designing collective purpose by combining interpersonal skills; and Inovemus, which integrates Lean Startup, Customer Development, and Project-Based Learning approaches for agile creation and validation of sustainable businesses. Claudio has a special interest in sector 2.5 companies, characterized by combining revenue generation with positive socio-environmental impact, notably Zebra companies, which seek a balance between purpose and profit, sustainability, and responsible scalability. He also researches the Inner Development Goals (IDGs) framework, a global model defining essential competencies to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), covering the dimensions of Being, Thinking, Relating, Collaborating, and Acting. He worked as a professor and mentor in Innovative Business Design for startups in the Business Incubators of Coppe/UFRJ (2002-2015) and UFF (2005-2008). Between 2019 and 2024, he worked as a business mentor at ABMEN – Brazilian Association of Business Mentors and with the programs AGIR (UFF Incubator), Startup Portimão (Portugal), All For Food (A4F), Startout Colombia (Anprotec), Hacking Rio, Inova SP, Salto Aceleradora (SC), Founder Institute, Swiss Nex and CRIA Brasil Festival (RJ).
