Jayme Luiz Szwarcfiter (PESC) is one of the winners of the ALIO 2024 Medal
The president of the jury responsible for awarding the ALIO Medals in the 2024 edition passed the 2024 winners with the ALIO Medals to the board of directors.
The jury decided to award three medals to the nominees who have excellently fulfilled the criteria covered by the ALIO medals detailed below:
Laureano Escudero: research and practice;
Jayme Luiz Szwarcfiter: research and teaching; It is
Irene Loiseau: service and education.
As we can see Prof. Jayme (PESC) is one of the recipients and the jury highlighted to the laureates their numerous contributions throughout their careers. Furthermore, it considers that in a comprehensive way, they have stood out as one of the personalities in Operational Research with a very significant impact on the ALIO community.

At the next CLAIO congress (Guadalajara, Mexico, October 2024) the medal ceremony will take place. In this same event, the first three medals will be awarded to Andrés Weintraub, Nelson Maculan and Hugo Scolnik.
