The Scientific Merit Award from the Brazilian Computing Society (SBC) is given each year to renowned researchers from the Brazilian community who have consistently advanced in the area at a national and international level.

In this year 2024, SBC has just announced that Prof. Marta Lima de Queirós Mattoso (PESC) was awarded this award.
