Matheus Emerick de Magalhães (PESC doctoral student), under the guidance of Prof. Jano Moreira de Souza (PESC) and Prof. Carlos Eduardo Barbosa, together with Madalena Lopes e Silva and Gabriel Martins de Oliveira, were awarded the "Best Paper" award at the Latin America Workshop on Information Fusion "La Fusion 2023”.

The award-winning article is titled "A Heterogeneous Data Integration for Vessel Activity Monitoring in Territorial Waters".
