The ninth edition of the ranking of the best scientists in the field of Computer Science was recently released by Research.com. The consolidated metrics for analysis were collected on 12/21/2022 from different data sources, including OpenAlex and CrossRef. The order of positioning in the list is based on the D-index (Discipline H-index), which only takes into account the number of publications and for a given discipline, in this case computer science. The list was prepared after examining more than 14402 scientists in computer science.

The minimum level of the D index that causes a scientist to be considered for analysis is 30 if the majority of their publications are in Computer Science. Acceptance requirements include the D index, the proportion of publications in the area together with the advances and awards received by the researcher. Therefore, for a scientist to be included among the best, he must have a high D index and a balanced profile.
