Our former PhD student and current professor at UFAM, Tayana Conte, has just been awarded the 2023 TCSE Distinguished Education Award by the IEEE Computer Society Technical Council on Software Engineering (TCSE).

She will receive the award at ICSE 2023 in May in Australia.

He is the first Brazilian to receive this international award.

Tayana did her PhD at PESC, defending her thesis “Usability Inspection Technique for Web Applications” in 2009, and was supervised by Prof. Guilherme Horta Travassos. She is currently an associate professor at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM).
