Frequent Commands

The most frequently used commands are:

set   var value
Assign the value value to the variable var.   Returns value.

set   var
Returns the value of the variable var, i.e. $var.

incr   var ?value?
Increment the value of the variable var by value. If value is omitted, it defaults to one.

expr   Arith
Interpret the argument as an arithmetic expression using the normal operator notation and return the value of this expression.

puts   ?-nonewline? value
Output the value to the standard output.
