Fine Steps

Apart from normal steps, Grace can also execute fine steps to show the internal structure of a normal step. A fine step is the execution between the modification of one domain variable to the next modification, failure, or end of normal labelling step, depending on which of these three events occurs first.

Fine steps can be executed by pressing the STEP button together with the Shift key. When the RUN button is pressed with the Shift key, a sequence of consecutive fine steps is executed which ends either with a failure or with the end of the normal labelling step.
