Segunda-feira, 10 Maio 2021

**CALL FOR PAPERS – 36th BRAZILIAN SYMPOSIUM ON DATABASES (SBBD)**

https://sbbd.org.br/2021/

October 4th to October 8th, 2021.

SBBD is the official event on databases of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). It is the largest venue in Latin America. Along with technical sessions, the symposium includes invited talks, tutorials, and mini-courses given by distinguished speakers from the national and international database research community. As co-located events, SBBD also promotes:

- Thesis Workshop

- Demos (Tools) Session

- Ph.D. Thesis and Master Dissertation Contest.

For the 2021 edition, SBBD will accept JIDM Papers, Full, Short, Vision, Industrial, and Distinguished Papers for presentation. This year, papers submitted in the categories Full, Short, Vision, and Industrial will be judged through double-blind reviewing, where the identities of the authors are concealed from the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are hidden from the authors.

JIDM PAPERS

Authors of papers that are accepted for JIDM publication from September 2020 until August 2021 will be invited to present their paper during SBBD 2021. They must be written in English and formatted according to the JIDM template. Submissions will be judged by the JIDM editorial board and are made continuously throughout the year.

The templates for submission are available here https://sol.sbc.org.br/journals/index.php/jidm. Submission due: continuously throughout the year, using the SBC submission site

Papers accepted until August 2021 will be invited to be presented during SBBD 2021.

FULL PAPERS

Submissions in this category should present research results and discussion in any of the SBBD topics of interest. Full papers submitted to SBBD must not have been simultaneously submitted to any other forum (conference or journal), nor have already been published elsewhere. The acceptance of a paper implies that at least one of its authors will register for the symposium to present it. Submitted papers will be reviewed based on originality, relevance, technical soundness, and clarity of presentation. SBBD will have a two-round review process where the authors get to see a first version of the reviews and are allowed to write a rebuttal to defend their paper against the comments of the reviewers. In the rebuttal, the authors may propose to do a few things to fix small problems in the paper for the final camera-ready version of the paper. Full papers must be written in Portuguese or English and not exceed 12 pages, according to the SBC template.

The templates for submission are available here http://www.sbc.org.br/documentos-da-sbc/summary/169-templates-para-artigos-e-capitulos-de-livros/878-modelosparapublicacaodeartigos. Papers must be submitted by the deadline through JEMS website. Questions regarding FULL paper submission should be directed to Este endereço de email está sendo protegido de spambots.
