Maria Gabriella Cavalcante Basílio, Master's student at PESC, supervised by Prof. Daniel Ratton Figueiredo, received Honorable Mention for the student presentation of his article entitled "Population Dynamics in the Global Coral-Symbiont Network under Temperature Variations" at the 16th Conference on Complex Networks (CompleNet) held in Fortaleza between April 22-25, 2025.

The published article is the subject of his master's thesis, which presents a mathematical model of population growth in the symbiosis network between corals and algae, subject to variation in water temperature. The dissertation is expected to be defended in June 2025.
