The work "Experimental analysis of local searches for sparse reflexive generalized inverses" by the student Gabriel Ponte from the Computer and Information Engineering (ECI) course at Escola Politécnica and COPPE / UFRJ, supervised by Marcia Fampa (from PESC) and Jon Lee (from the University of Michigan), was the winner of the Scientific Initiation Award of the Brazilian Symposium on Operational Research 2020 (SBPO 2020).
